Section 1: Voluntary Participation
I understand that participation in this sound bath is completely voluntary. I may choose not to participate, pause my participation, change positions, or leave the experience at any time.
Section 2: Wellness Disclaimer
I understand that a sound bath is a relaxation and wellness experience. It is not medical treatment, mental health treatment, physical therapy, or another form of licensed healthcare. My Peace Guru and its representatives do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical or mental health conditions, and no particular result is promised or guaranteed.
Section 3: Safety Information
I understand that sound baths may include singing bowls, crystal bowls, chimes, percussion, music, voice, vibration, meditation, breathwork, or other sound-based wellness practices. Sound levels and vibrations may affect individuals differently.
If I am pregnant, use an implanted medical device, have epilepsy or seizure concerns, experience sound sensitivity, have a serious medical or mental health condition, or have questions about whether participation is appropriate for me, I understand that I should consult a qualified healthcare professional before participating.
I agree to protect my hearing, choose a comfortable position, notify the facilitator if I feel uncomfortable, and stop participating if I experience discomfort, dizziness, distress, or an unexpected reaction.
Section 4: Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation may involve ordinary and inherent risks, including temporary physical discomfort, emotional discomfort, dizziness, sensitivity to sound or vibration, headaches, slips, trips, falls, or other unexpected reactions.
I knowingly and voluntarily accept and assume the risks associated with my participation in this sound bath.
Section 5: Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and discharge My Peace Guru, Michelle Hummel, the event facilitator, their employees, contractors, representatives, volunteers, successors, and assigns from claims arising from my voluntary participation in the event or from the ordinary negligence of a released party.
This release does not apply to gross negligence, reckless or willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot legally be waived.
I understand that this is a release of liability and that I am giving up certain legal rights by signing it.
Section 6: Personal Property
I understand that I am responsible for my personal belongings. My Peace Guru is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property except where responsibility cannot legally be waived.
Section 7: Emergency Assistance
If I experience a medical emergency during the event, I authorize the event facilitator or venue representative to contact emergency services. I understand that I am responsible for any costs associated with emergency medical care or transportation.
Section 8: Governing Law
This waiver is governed by the laws of the state in which the event takes place. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
